GlutenSmart is happy to bring you some of the best gluten free product clearance bargains. Sometimes a product doesn't sell as fast as we thought it should, so the items on this page are still good but the "Best By" date stamped on the package has past.
The United States Department of Agriculture defines a "Best By" date as a date recommended to a consumer of when a product will have the best flavor or quality. It is not a purchase or safety date. (To read the full description, please visit their Web site at http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Fact_Sheets/Food_Product_Dating/index.asp. Typically a "Best By" date is a date listed as Month/Year (03/09). They usually do not list a day in the "best by" code so you can assume that the last day of that month is what the manufacturer means as their "Best By" date.
Although GlutenSmart can never guarantee you will like the taste of any product we sell, we will guarantee that even if the "Best By" date is past, the product will still be of excellent quality. If a product has a "Best By" date that is past or within 1 month of the date stamped on the package, GlutenSmart will reduce the price for quick sale and will list that "Best By" date on our Web site.
GlutenSmart offers the following Return Policy for any clearance items:
- Save your original receipt, box you received your order in and product packaging.
- GlutenSmart will take back any unopened product sold as past the "Best By" date. This means that if you order more than one identical item, we will take back all the identical items except the one you opened.
- GlutenSmart will issue you store credit towards the products you return and will not issue cash or a credit on your charge card.
- Do not throw away any unused products, you can only receive a credit for items that are returned to us. If you discard any item, we can not refund the cost of that item.
- To request a refund, email us at customerservice@GlutenSmart.com. In your email, include your full name, order number, items you would like to return with a reason why. If you are a customer in the contiguous US, GlutenSmart will make arrangements to have your items picked up by UPS so we will need a physical address where the item can be picked up in the daytime by UPS. If you are a Canadian customer or at an APO/FPO, HI, AK, PR, or VI address, email us for return detail.
- After we reply to your request, we will ask you to put the items you are returning into the original box (or a small box if available) and pack the box with extra newspapers or other filler material and to seal the box. UPS will come to the agreed upon address within a couple of days to pick up the return. When the package arrives back at CarbSmart, we will send you an email to let you know it arrived and details on your store credit.
