Gluten-Free Crunchy Garlic Sesame Sticks Recipe

Occasionally, I miss bread–to be more specific I miss bread sticks. This Gluten-Free Crunchy Garlic Sesame Sticks satisfies that craving every time. They are pretty simple to prepare and are best served hot out of the oven.
Ingredients
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 3 ounces freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 heaping tablespoons plain (unflavored) protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • Nonstick olive oil spray
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375° F and lightly spray a cookie sheet with olive oil spray.
  2. Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, and the egg in a small bowl.
  3. Blend in the plain (unflavored) protein powder and the garlic salt with a fork or your hands.
  4. Gather the dough into a ball and knead it lightly until it is the consistency of Play Dough.
  5. Put the toasted sesame seeds on a clean dinner plate.
  6. Roll the dough into 8 thin logs by hand, and then roll each log in the sesame seeds until it is evenly coated. Place the logs on the cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until they are lightly browned.
  8. Remove the Crunchy Garlic Sticks to a bread basket and serve immediately.
