Lightly Sweetened Strawberries Gluten-Free Recipe
This Gluten-Free berry recipe is light and refreshing. It is so good on its own that you don't need whipped cream! You can also use different types of berries if that is more to your liking. Lightly Sweetened Strawberries is a sweet yet light ending to any meal. These berries can also be used as a topping for other desserts or even on pancakes.
Author: Deena Segal
Recipe type: Gluten-Free, No Sugar Added, Vegan, Nut-Free
Serves: 4-6
Prep time:  20 mins
Total time:  20 mins
Ingredients
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • ½ cup sugar free DaVinci Raspberry Syrup
Instructions
  1. Rinse the strawberries and drain them thoroughly.
  2. Slice off the tops and any hard tips, then halve the smaller berries and quarter the larger ones.
  3. Place all the berries in a plastic bowl with a tight-fitting lid.
  4. Pour the sugar free raspberry syrup over the strawberries and mix well.
  5. Tightly cover the bowl with the lid and store in the refrigerator until it’s time to serve the berries.
Notes
Leftover Lightly Sweetened Strawberries will keep 2 or 3 days in the refrigerator if tightly covered, but don't count on them being there that long.

Try some of the leftovers over gluten-free pancakes in the morning, or in a salad with a raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing for lunch tomorrow.

VARIATIONS
Torani Sugar Free Orange syrup is also very good on strawberries.

Mix in other types of berries with the strawberries.
