Shipping Policy
GlutenSmart.com only ships to addresses in the United States, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, APO/FPO, and Canada.
No matter what season or time of year, GlutenSmart.com will not be responsible for perishable items sent by regular UPS Ground, UPS 3 Day Select, or US Parcel Post or Priority Mail.
Due to the unusually hot weather in some areas of the country, if you order perishable items (chocolates and candies, etc.), GlutenSmart.com STRONGLY suggests you choose UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS Next Day Air. GlutenSmart.com will not be responsible for melted or damaged perishable items sent by any other shipping method.
Protection of Perishable Products During Shipment
- Most orders going to "hot" areas of the country containing perishables (chocolates and candies, etc.) will be packed with leak proof Ice Bricks. Ice Bricks are a viscous gel refrigerant specially formulated with food safe non-toxic materials, and hermetically sealed in a heavy plastic pouch that stays colder than wet ice. Ice Bricks are the ultimate in refrigerant packs. Ice Bricks are tested and proven to be the coldest & best gel refrigerant available.
- GlutenSmart.com will take great efforts to protect your perishable items from exposure to heat by placing these items in the lower, center portion of the box and will try to put non-perishable items around them, as well as, placing ice bricks in the box to further shield them from the heat.
- If you choose regular UPS Ground shipping, your order contains perishables and you order on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, your order may be held until the following Monday before it is shipped. This will help prevent the package from sitting in a UPS warehouse which may be extremely hot over a weekend.
- EVEN THOUGH WE MAY PACK YOUR ORDER WITH ICE PACKS, IF YOU ORDER PERISHABLE ITEMS BY REGULAR UPS GROUND OR UPS 3 DAY SELECT SHIPPING, GLUTENSMART.COM WILL NOT GUARANTEE THE ITEM TO ARRIVE UNMELTED OR IN PERFECT CONDITION.
Shipping Options
Due to the increase in fuel surcharges being assessed by our shipping carriers, and our use of ice bricks for perishable items, we have had to unfortunately raise our shipping rates. Even with these increases, we hope you can see that our prices are still extremely reasonable compared to the alternatives. GlutenSmart.com attempts to keep the cost of shipping down by reusing packing boxes sent to us by our suppliers.

Shipment Notification & Tracking
GlutenSmart.com will send you two confirmation email messages - 1) when we receive your order, and 2) when we ship it (this email will provide information about your order, including UPS tracking number and notification of items that have been placed on back order).
